We always enjoy working with MetLife as their zest & hunger for success is truly inspiring. As well as using the amazing facilities and sampling the lovely fayre at Pennyhill, the MetLife staff were presented with their much deserved awards. They also had a surprise treat as the lower level of the venue was turned into a ‘Club’ disco with the world record breaking ‘Football Freestylers’ providing additional entertainment.  The feedback we received from the organisers was much appreciated when they stated “Many thanks, you did a superb job, extremely professional”.  We would like to pass on our thanks to Fiona & Charlotte for their superb theming and ideas. A great evening and a ‘Win Win’ for everyone.

We were blessed with great weather, a stunning couple to work with & lovely surroundings. Our approach is to attend each wedding from start to finish. We believe this enables us to capture the whole story, including ‘the moment’ when grandparents grabbed that much needed bit of respite!

Among the other notable memorabilia were invites to celebratory dinners, with President Gerald Ford, Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, legendary entertainers Bob Hope & Bing Crosby. Another great image was Peter holing out at St Andrews with a record breaking round of 66, which has only just been surpassed. Obviously great care was taken by ourselves  to restore and catalogue such a unique collection. These and other articles of Peter’s amazing career in golf and TV will be on display in Augusta from May 2012 after the proud Alliss family attend a prestigious induction dinner . We at BURLISON Photography are proud to be Photographers to the Alliss’s and join in the rest of the golfing fraturnity and general admirers in congratualing him on his acheivement. Peter was quick to acknowledge the part his family play in his life and said “it’s for them”. Typical of Peter’s humble nature which along with ‘the voice’ has endeared him to us all; A true gent.

It was a great privilege to capture the touching ‘ proposal’ of Stephen to Miranda. A first for Highclere Castle and ourselves as their recommended Photographers, when we were commissioned to capture what was a ‘very decent proposal’. It was certainly different hiding in the trees (Paparazzi style) 100 metres away awaiting that special moment. Another first at Highclere for us was using the new Canon EF 600mm F4 mk11 lens, (normally reserved for our Ryder Cup Golf coverage), to make sure we captured the look of sheer joy and love . The Couple hail from New York, and flew in especially for the day.  Miranda was unaware of her imminent ‘Downton’ style proposal. A truly unique opportunity, and an honour to be asked to capture such an intimate moment. Miranda & Stephen said ‘The images are amazing’, and of course we look forward to capturing the next chapter in there life. Watch this space!

We received them last friday, and are putting them through their paces. We are also awaiting delivery of two 1DX Canon Flagship models, so exciting times!

Peter is Pictured with Dame Mary Perkins who, with Husband Doug founded Specsavers in 1984. Their Son John is Joint MD and really galvanised the attendees. Our brief from Amanda (Technical Designer/ Training & Development) was to capture the highlights then ‘slip away’ into the background.  She has just viewed the images and said “they are fabulous! Loving the Haka ones… Thank you so much… . For us at BURLISON Photography it was truly inspiring to work with such a customer centric organisation.

We had great fun in the snow at Wasing, and this is where as a professional you have to be mindful of the somewhat ‘cool’ conditions and limited light. Cathy & Lee really entered into the spirit and have some great images of a truly ‘one off’ occasion
